Alaska Fishing Trips - Bachatna Creek
Bachatna Creek is a small, meandering river that offers some explosive action when the time is right. This run of silvers is smaller than some of the nearby rivers but fish get concentrated in the shallows and can be quite an amazing sight. Clear water makes fishing the Bachatna a blast! We are the only outfit that can fish this river so expect to have most the river all to yourself. The nature of this trip requires some physical abilities. We land the giant floatplane on a beaver pond, which has a damn on one end of it. You will have to deploy from the airplane onto this damn and then cross the creek in waders to access this fishery. From there we will have a small bit of wading to do in order to get into position. If the fish move or get spooked, plan on chasing them down on foot. All of this adds to the adventure of this trip from the second you board the airplane to the second we get back to the dock. You wont be disappointed in the fishing or adventure of the Bachatna River. This trip is great for fit anglers, especially flyfishermen who want to tangle with dime bright salmon in clear, shallow water.
