Alaska Fishing Trips: Crescent Lake

The flight into Crescent Lake leaves jaws dropped and your camera’s memory card full. Instead of flying to the edge of the Alaska Range, like most of our trips, we fly 10 miles into the heart of the range and land on the emerald colored waters of the lake. Nestled against North America’s largest active volcano, Crescent Lake is a masterpiece of glaciation. The vistas here are second to none on this continent and the fishing quite easily matches the scenery. We fish both the river and the lake to try and finish off the Alaskan grandslam.

This trip is fantastic for all fishermen. A multi-species adventure where we go for sockeye, lake trout, and arctic char will keep even the most impatient angler busy. Bears wander the shorelines, eagles snatch char from the river and trophy moose hide in the bushes. Crescent Lake never disappoints.
